To Manu...

Man'u' rock!

Thanks to my bro' for taking me to the Spurs-Suns game 3 of the western conference finals playoffs in San Antonio...until then basket ball was just another game to me, one in the long list of sports that i have watched but not with any great interest. I used to watch the three-day national level basketball tournaments organized by my college during under-grad and for the heck of it have cheered for some random teams but my interest in basket ball stopped right there...! But the Spurs-Suns game i watched in person changed it all.. i started following the play-offs and then the final series but only online. No cable hence no ABC sports...attributed to my F1-status! :( Anyways, the Spurs won the western conference finals and then went to play the Detroit pistons..and the series reached the 7th and the final game. This game, i WAS NOT going to miss seeing..er..i mean on TV. So i tagged along with a friend of mine to go see the game in another friends house and by the time we reached it was half-time. Since i started following the game just recently ...all i did was cheer whenever the Spurs defended and grabbed the ball from the Pistons and when they scored points...who cared for other technicalities! But even to some one in my level, it doesnt take anything to realise that THAT game was one of the best anybody could've seen..it went very close and the chances of spurs winning was 50-50...! Alas, they DID win at the end of a brilliant fight!! what a treasured win that must be!! well ofcourse, according to the rest of the world, Tim Duncan was the guy and ya he did get the MVP at the end of it! I can deal with that, but for some reason I adored Manu's game and the fact remains that i cheered for him the most! That guy was WOW, Brilliant, Awesome and Mind-blowing! I dont care for stats or history but based on what i ve seen, Manu's my favorite, Manu's the guy! So heres three cheers to my fav player MANU GINOBILI, my MVP goes to YOU!:)
