Not again!!!!!!!!!
Let me introduce to you Pri, the one who tagged me this time and Pri, I am adding this one to the list of things that I have to get back at you for!
Ya it almost seems like I have nothing else better to do than being tagged and tagging people..as hard as it is to believe, I dont really appreciate this tagging game, about oh ya, how many times have you visited the restroom in the last 5 years, what were you doing 4 years 37 months 52 days 435 minutes ago, five people whose face you wished you could punch....
I would rather appreciate something like, how many times you tried to helped talk pri out of a dilemma(which is like forever anyway;)), or how many times divya would state the most obvious of facts like the biggest discovery man ever made, or how many times you fought with gopika(er.,count caused buffer overflow),name the times when raji would not be sleeping(wait...am still thinking..), name the number of times when SRT did not top the class( this question was considered sacrilegious to her academic career, Sorry SRT), or state few incidents when SELVI has stayed up later than 10 0'clock (I cant even make up an answer for this one!),or the number of times JohnyBoy stole french fries from you(all the freaking time, geez what a stealer(never mind the english, I just made that word up)) Anyway, I was told I could not change the template...so here goes the usual blah...
Ten Years Ago
1. I guess I was a kid...(I really was!).
2. I was innocent..(I still am)
3. I played 'kajol' in DDLJ for the school elections..hehe..
4. I hated going to the dentist and luckily had my braces removed.
5. I would sit by the stairs near my house and chat for hours on end with my best buds from childhood, Rash and Yam.
6. My eldest sis always kept bossing me around..
7. I had short, real short hair, so short that people would bet on me if I was a guy or a girl!
8. I would go to mom's and dad's native place for summer vacation!
8. The saddest thing happened, I lost my sis.
Five years Ago
1. I thought Coimbatore was a 'kuggramam'...Apparently I was very wrong.
2. I learnt 6 people can live in a room with absolutely no luxuries and could still have the best time!
3. I figured one could not always trick the Resident tutor into thinking the room was clean by putting the clothes under the bed.
4. I learnt most people in college are way too jobless to make up random stories about random people.I figured those people dont matter!
5. 6:30 p.m. curfew didnt hold us back from anything.
6. Bhajji Kadai was THE place and the bhajjis were just....what can I say...YUMMMM!!
7. Our train journeys to and from Madras were fun. How some people tried to rag and failed miserably...haha
8. Staying awake the whole night was a piece of cake but actually studying while doing that = rare
9. Yelling in tech trophy for random teams like they were all some Tim Duncans...(Apparently I like the word random)
10.Played 'chris friend' games during Xmas and it was funny how few people got caught doing what their chrisfriend asked them to do..wasnt at all funny then!
11. Got caught with hostel supervisor for making fun of her ...not that we regretted it anyway, it was hard to apologize without laughing! We laughed till we cried and she was MAD!
12. B'days were more fun with a modest cake-cutting but a rather noisy party!
13. I burnt atleast 20 buckets and 30 hangers trying to heat water....if you smelt anything burning w/o doubt, it was one of our buckets melting away to glory!
14. People yelling from the ground floor when we get a phone call...cant forget how our hearts would leap with joy whenever we heard our names being called out early in the morning, coz that would mean a call from home!
15. Some of my best friends are from college, needless to say they are priceless and so are the moments spent with them.
Last One Year
1. I am supposed to have become much less sensitive!
2. Have realized there s no stress and pain that a bunch of real good friends can't take out!
3. Can say, have seen the other side of the world, atleast to a certain extent!
4. Have done a lot of work to compensate for my 4 yrs of undergrad;) and but have also had so much fun that I am glad I am here.
5. Oh ya, my mom will be glad to know, I learnt to cook and can manage to keep myself and people whose life depends on it alive, if it comes to that :)
6. Have seen what it is to live by yourself and take care of yourself(ofcourse with some help from my cousin and sis') ..must say havent done a bad job of it!
7. People are funniest when they drunk!!:)
8. My American friends get a cheap thrill out of making fun of Indians, just coz I react..but I get back at them so it evens out:)
9. I havent met my close friends that are here in the US, except one.
10. Have definitely become a little more responsible than I was!
11. More the number of people you know, the lesser the number that understands you!
12. Have had some of the most horrible dreams ever and even worse couldnt hsut up about it!
13. My experience here has been so priceless that it comes as a close second, if not equal to my undergrad !
14. If there's any place that I would rather live in, besides Chennai, India, it would be Texas. Yes, I absolutely love this place!
